How to Install "VOCALOID6 Editor (including Lite version)" and VOCALOID6 Voicebank

This page explains the steps after downloading the product installer.

* If you have not yet downloaded the installer, please follow the installation guide accessible from the "Registered Products" page to complete the download beforehand.

* "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)" and the "Voicebank" are different applications. Please pay close attention to the guide so as not to confuse their installers.

* Please note that the file names used on this page may differ depending on the version.

* The Voicebank installer can install all languages using just a single installer.

For Windows Users

1. Installing VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)

* If you already own "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)", please skip this step and proceed to "2. Installing the Voicebank".

After unzipping the downloaded zip file, the "VOCALOID6_Editor_Installer(.exe)" installer will appear in the unzipped folder. Double-click this installer to launch it.

* If the "User Account Control" confirmation screen appears upon launch, click [Yes] to allow it.

The language selection screen will appear. Select your preferred language and click [OK].

Wait a moment for the installer to launch, then click [Next].

The "VOCALOID6 End User License Agreement" will be displayed. Please read the contents, check [I accept the terms in the license agreement], and click [Next].

* If you do not agree, you will not be able to use the software.

Click [Install] to begin the installation. Please leave the screen open and wait until the installation is complete.

When this screen is displayed, the installation of "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)" is complete. Click [Finish] to exit the installation process.

2. Installing the Voicebank

If "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)" is not latest version, the Voicebank installer may not function properly. Please check if there are any updates for "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)" beforehand.

If an update is available, a dialog will appear when you launch "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)". You can also download the latest updater from this page.

* Please note: While the following instructions use "HATSUNE MIKU V6" as an example, the same installation procedure applies to our other VOCALOID6 products.

After unzipping the downloaded zip file, the "HATSUNE_MIKU_V6_for_VOCALOID_Installer(.exe)" installer will appear in the unzipped folder. Double-click this installer to launch it.

The language selection screen will appear. Select your preferred language and click [Next].

Wait a moment for the installer to launch, then click [Next].

The "HATSUNE MIKU V6 End User License Agreement" will be displayed. Please read the contents, check [I accept the terms of the license agreement], and click [Next].

* If you do not agree, you will not be able to use the software.

Click [Install] to begin the installation. Please leave the screen open and wait until the installation is complete.

When this screen is displayed, the installation of the Voicebank is complete. Click [Finish] to exit the installation process.

* After installation is complete, authorization (activation) using the "VOCALOID Authorizer" is required to use the software. Please follow the instructions in the installation guide accessible from the "Registered Products" page to perform the authorization process.

For macOS Users

1. Installing VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)

* If you already own "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)", please skip this step and proceed to "2. Installing the Voicebank".

Open the destination where the downloaded file was saved. Double-click "VOCALOID6_Editor_Installer.dmg" in the folder to display the file "VOCALOID6_Editor_Installer.pkg". Double-click this installer to launch it.

When you launch the installer, the following confirmation message will appear. Click [Allow].

The installer has launched. Click [Continue].

The "VOCALOID6 End User License Agreement" will be displayed. Please read the contents and click the [Continue] button.

A message asking to confirm your agreement to the software license agreement will appear. Click the [Agree] button.

* If you do not agree, you will not be able to use the software.

The installation location will be displayed. If there are multiple possible installation locations, you can change the installation destination. Select your preferred location. Once confirmed, click [Continue].

A confirmation screen will appear. Click [Install].

You need to allow the installation of "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)" on your Mac. Enter your Mac's password to allow the installation.

The installation will begin. Please leave the screen open and wait until the installation is complete. When this screen is displayed, the installation of "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)" is complete. Select [Close] to finish the installation process.

You may be asked for permission to access files; click [Allow].

A message asking if you want to move the installer to the Trash may appear after the installation is complete. The installer is no longer needed, so it is safe to move it to the Trash.

2. Installing the Voicebank

If "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)" is not latest version, the Voicebank installer may not function properly. Please check if there are any updates for "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)" beforehand.

If an update is available, a dialog will appear when you launch "VOCALOID6 Editor (Lite)". You can also download the latest updater from this page.

* Please note: While the following instructions use "HATSUNE MIKU V6" as an example, the same installation procedure applies to our other VOCALOID6 products.

Open the destination where the downloaded file was saved. The downloaded file is compressed in zip format. With Safari's default settings, it will be automatically unzipped upon download. If you are using another browser, please manually unzip the zip file by double-clicking it.

Double-click "HATSUNE_MIKU_V6_for_VOCALOID_Installer.dmg" in the folder to display the file "HATSUNE_MIKU_V6_for_VOCALOID_Installer.pkg". Double-click this installer to launch it.

When you launch the installer, the following confirmation message will appear. Click [Allow].

The installer has launched. Click [Continue].

The "HATSUNE MIKU V6 End User License Agreement" will be displayed. Please read the contents and click the [Continue] button.

A message asking to confirm your agreement to the software license agreement will appear. Click the [Agree] button.

* If you do not agree, you will not be able to use the software.

A confirmation screen will appear. Click [Install].

* Because this voicebank uses a data structure based on AI technology, its installation size is smaller compared to traditional voice library products.

You need to allow the installation of "HATSUNE MIKU V6" on your Mac. Enter your Mac's password to allow the installation.

The installation will begin. Please leave the screen open and wait until the installation is complete. When this screen is displayed, the installation is complete. Select [Close] to finish the installation process.

You may be asked for permission to access files; click [Allow].

A message asking if you want to move the installer to the Trash may appear after the installation is complete. The installer is no longer needed, so it is safe to move it to the Trash.
