Specifications and Known Issues of the "HATSUNE MIKU NT (Ver.2)"
Here we list the specifications and reported/known issues for the "HATSUNE MIKU NT (Ver.2)" as of March 17, 2026.
For main features, new functions, and the included voice library, please refer to the special page for the "HATSUNE MIKU NT (Ver.2)".
- "Portamento" in "Note Settings" is disabled when Automatic Control is turned on.
- Because "Piapro Studio NT2" has been adjusted for better vocal expression regarding the effectiveness and compatibility of parameters and Voice Color, you may not obtain the exact same expression even if you load a "Piapro Studio NT" project file.
The known issues confirmed for each DAW are as follows. Please check the section for the DAW you are using.
[Logic Pro (Intel / Apple Silicon)]
[Important] Data loss occurs when changing the sampling rate after displaying specific menus in Logic Pro
We have confirmed that if the sampling rate is changed immediately after displaying the display customization menus in Logic Pro, the data entered in Piapro Studio NT2 may be lost.
While Piapro Studio NT2 is running, please do not display the following menus in Logic Pro:
- "Customize Control Bar and Display..."
- "Customize Toolbar..."
- "Configure Track Header"
If you accidentally display these menus, please be careful never to change the sampling rate.
We have confirmed that this phenomenon occurs not only with our product but generally with plugins that can be used on Logic. It is highly likely to be an issue caused by the behavior of the host application (Logic Pro), and we are currently monitoring the situation.
[Logic Pro or GarageBand (Apple Silicon)]
When using Logic Pro or GarageBand launched in Native mode on an Apple Silicon Mac, the following phenomena and limitations have been confirmed:
- Cannot input text using "Google Japanese Input"
* Please use the macOS standard Japanese input. - Maximize/minimize buttons of the editor window do not work
This function is not available on Logic Pro and GarageBand launched in Native mode. - Switching to full-screen mode causes problems with subsequent operations
Although the operation to make it full-screen from the OS menu is possible, it will stop working properly, so please do not use the full-screen operation. - The screen flickers momentarily when returning from menus or separate windows (like Note Settings)
To avoid other serious bugs, we intentionally redraw the editor window. This phenomenon accompanies this process and is currently according to specification.
When using Logic Pro or GarageBand, we continue to recommend launching in Rosetta mode.
Please refer here to launch the host DAW application in Rosetta mode.
[Ableton Live (VST version) or Bitwig Studio]
Disabling the plugin from specific states causes frequent re-rendering, making operation difficult
If you disable (power off) Piapro Studio NT2 from within the applicable DAW while "Voice Drive" is turned on, frequent notifications of sampling rate changes will be detected along with re-rendering processes, making it difficult to operate the DAW.
On these DAWs, please do not disable (power off) the Piapro Studio NT2 plugin.
[Digital Performer]
The plugin may fail to launch on this DAW
Please consider using it on other DAWs, such as the included Cubase LE, or the standalone version.
When opening a project file saved with an audio file and VoiceDrive turned ON, the pitch line may disappear.
If you overwrite the project file in this state, it may become corrupted and unrecoverable.
Please use the following workaround steps until the next update is released.
Note: If time allows, we recommend waiting for the update to be distributed.
[Workaround 1: Avoid Using Audio Tracks]
- Delete all audio tracks.
- Delete NT tracks one by one from the top and undo repeatedly to ensure that the pitch lines are displayed on all tracks.
- Confirm that no audio tracks remain.
- Play back the project and verify that all NT tracks produce sound correctly.
- Save the project under a new name and avoid adding audio tracks thereafter.
[Workaround 2: Avoid Using VoiceDrive]
- Delete NT tracks one by one from the top and undo repeatedly to ensure that the pitch lines are displayed on all tracks.
- If there are tracks with VoiceDrive ON (blue light), turn them OFF (light off).
- For safety, delete all audio tracks.
- Play back the project and verify that all NT tracks produce sound correctly.
- Save the project under a new name and ensure that VoiceDrive remains OFF thereafter.
- On the newly saved .ppsf file, reload the audio files as needed.
As a temporary measure, it is recommended to reduce the number of tracks where these effects are applied simultaneously or to bounce (render to audio) the tracks to reduce the load.
After updating the voice library, if you open a .ppsf file created in an older version, please manually reselect the voice library from the Library Selection menu in the Vocal Morphing track. (This issue is scheduled to be fixed in a future update.)
