Specifications and Known Issues of the "HATSUNE MIKU NT (Ver.2)"
Here we list the specifications and reported/known issues for the "HATSUNE MIKU NT (Ver.2)" as of May 8, 2025.
For main features, new functions, and the included voice library, please refer to the special page for the "HATSUNE MIKU NT (Ver.2)".
Specifications
- The "Portamento" option under "Note Settings..." is disabled when Automatic Control is turned on.
- Since the parameter responsiveness in "Piapro Studio NT2" is adjusted for better vocal expression, you may not achieve the same results when loading project files from "Piapro Studio NT".
Known Issues
- (Under investigation) Rendering waveform abnormalities may occur due to consecutive operations. Workaround: Changing and then restoring the note's pitch to trigger re-rendering improves the issue.
- The plugin may fail to launch in Digital Performer.
- [Added on Nov. 20] The VST plugin version's window sometimes fails to open.
- [Added on Feb. 19] When "Voice Voltage", "Super Formant Shifter", or "Voice Drive" are applied to multiple tracks, an unusually high CPU load may occur, leading to processing delays or unstable operation. (Workaround)
- [Added on May. 8] The software may fail to install correctly when attempting to install it to a volume, storage device, or folder whose name contains Japanese characters.
When opening a project file saved with an audio file and VoiceDrive turned ON, the pitch line may disappear.
If you overwrite the project file in this state, it may become corrupted and unrecoverable.
Please use the following workaround steps until the next update is released.
Note: If time allows, we recommend waiting for the update to be distributed.
[Workaround 1: Avoid Using Audio Tracks]
- Delete all audio tracks.
- Delete NT tracks one by one from the top and undo repeatedly to ensure that the pitch lines are displayed on all tracks.
- Confirm that no audio tracks remain.
- Play back the project and verify that all NT tracks produce sound correctly.
- Save the project under a new name and avoid adding audio tracks thereafter.
[Workaround 2: Avoid Using VoiceDrive]
- Delete NT tracks one by one from the top and undo repeatedly to ensure that the pitch lines are displayed on all tracks.
- If there are tracks with VoiceDrive ON (blue light), turn them OFF (light off).
- For safety, delete all audio tracks.
- Play back the project and verify that all NT tracks produce sound correctly.
- Save the project under a new name and ensure that VoiceDrive remains OFF thereafter.
- On the newly saved .ppsf file, reload the audio files as needed.
As a temporary measure, it is recommended to reduce the number of tracks where these effects are applied simultaneously or to bounce (render to audio) the tracks to reduce the load.
