"PIAPRO CHARACTERS SUPER PACK" Installation Guide (Win/Mac)

1.Install "Piapro Studio"
Extract (unzip) the compressed file of the downloaded installer to an arbitrary location.
In the folder created by unzipping, you will find installers for Piapro Studio. Open the "Piapro Studio Installer_x64_2.0.5.11" folder, and then run "PiaproStudioInstaller x64.msi" in the "English" folder to start the installation.
Installation Procedure
  • When "PiaproStudioInstaller x64.msi" is started, "Piapro Studio End User License Agreement" screen will be displayed. Confirm the contents of the license agreement. Check the "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" checkbox and click the "Install" button to start the installation.
  • Click the "Finish" button on the "Completed the Piapro Studio VSTi x64 Setup Wizard" screen.
Proceed to "2. Install Voice Library" below.
2. Install Voice Library
The voice library can be installed from the installer "setup.exe" located in the "Piapro_Characters_Super_Pack_4_1_0_Setup" folder. Start the installer and proceed with the installation according to the following procedure.
  • Language Select Screen

    Select "英語 (English)" and click the "OK" button.

  • "VOCALOID4 Library Piapro Characters Super Pack - InstallShield Wizard Screen

    Click the "Next" button.

  • "License Agreement" Screen

    On the "Piapro Studio End User License Agreement" screen, confirm the contents of the license agreement. Check the "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" checkbox and click the "Install" button to start the installation.

  • "Setup Type" Screen

    Click the [Next] button with "Complete" selected.

  • "Ready to Install the Program" Screen

    Click the [Install] button to start the installation.

  • "InstallShield Wizard Complete" Screen

    Click the [Finish] button to complete the installation.

Proceed to "3. Activate Voice Library" below.
3. Activate Voice Library
To use the voice libraries, please follow the procedure below for activation. You can use the demo version for a certain period of time without activation, but please complete the activation as soon as possible.
* An Internet connection is required for activation.
  • Install "VOCALOID Authorizer"
    Next, use the files in the “VOCALOID_Authorizer_1.0.0” folder to install the “VOCALOID Authorizer” used for activation.
    For installation instructions, open this page and refer to the “VOCALOID Authorizer User's Guide” in the “Manuals” chapter (see figure below).
  • Launch the “VOCALOID Authorizer” software and Activate the Voice Libraries
    After the installation of “VOCALOID Authorizer” is completed, start the software and activate the voice libraries with reference to the “Authorization” chapter of the User's Guide downloaded in the above procedure.
    The “serial code (serial number)” used for authentication can be found by clicking [Installation Instructions] in the “PIAPRO CHARACTERS SUPER PACK” column on the "REGISTERED PRODUCT" page.
    Once the authentication on “VOCALOID Authorizer” is completed, installation and activation of Piapro Studio and voice library is complete. If you will be using “Cubase LE,” the DAW software included with the product, follow the installation procedure available on the REGISTERED PRODUCT" page.
For macOS
1. Install "Piapro Studio"
Extract (unzip) the compressed file of the downloaded installer to an arbitrary location.
To install "Piapro Studio," start "Piapro Studio Installer.pkg" in the folder generated by the unzip. The installation procedure is as follows:
  • "Welcome to Piapro Studio Installer" Screen
    Click the "Continue" button.
  • "Software License Agreement" Screen
    You can confirm the license agreement. After confirming it, click the "Continue" button, followed by the "Agree" button.
  • "Select the Destination" Screen
    Normally, click "Continue" to continue the installation.
  • "The installation was completed successfully" Screen
    Click the "Close" button to complete the installation of "Piapro Studio".
Proceed to "2. Install Voice Library" below.
2. Install Voice Library
The voice libraries can be installed from the dmg file (see list below) in the folder generated by the unzip. The installation procedure is as follows.
  • KAITO:
    KAITO_SP_4.1.0.dmg
  • MEIKO:
    MEIKO_SP_4.1.0.dmg
  • HATSUNE MIKU:
    MIKU_SP_4.1.0.dmg
  • KAGAMINE RIN:
    RIN_SP_4.1.0.dmg
  • KAGAMIEN LEN:
    LEN_SP_4.1.0.dmg
  • MEGURINE LUKA:
    LUKA_SP_4.1.0.dmg
The following procedure is for "KAITO" as an example, but other libraries can be installed in the same way.
  • Run the Installer
    Double-click "KAITO_SP_4.1.0.dmg" to mount it, and double-click "KAITO_SP_Installer.pkg" in it to start the installer.
  • "Welcome to the KAITO_SP Installer" Screen
    Click the "Continue" button.
  • "Software License Agreement" Screen
    You can confirm the contents of the license agreement. After confirming the contents, click the "Continue" button, followed by the "Agree" button.
  • "Select the Destination" Screen
    Normally, click "Continue" to continue the installation.
  • "The installation was completed successfully" Screen
    Click the "Close" button to complete the installation of "KAITO".
  • Install Other Characters' Voice Libraries
    Repeat steps 1-5 above for each voice library installer.
Proceed to "3. Install VOCALOID4 API" below.
3. Install VOCALOID4 API
Install the “VOCALOID4 API” required to use the voice library with Piapro Studio.
  • Run the Installer
    Double-click "VOCALOIDApi4_Runtime_Mac_4.2.2.0.dmg" to mount it, and double-click "VOCALOIDApi4_Runtime_Mac_4.2.2.0.pkg" in it to start the installer.
    * If the message “There is no need for this installer” appears when you open the installer, there is no need to run this installer. Please continue on to “4. Activate Voice Library”.
  • "Welcome to the VOCALOID4 API Installer" Screen
    Click the "Continue" button.
  • "Select the Destination" Screen
    Normally, click "Continue" to continue the installation.
  • "The installation was completed successfully" Screen
    Click the "Close" button to complete the installation of "VOCALOID4 API".
Once the above API installation is complete, proceed to "4. Activate Voice Library".
4. Activate Voice Library
To use the voice libraries, please follow the procedure below for activation. You can use the demo version for a certain period of time without activation, but please complete the activation as soon as possible.

  • Install "VOCALOID Authorizer"
    Next, use the file “VOCALOID_Authorizer_1.0.0.dmg” to install the “VOCALOID Authorizer” used for activation.

  • Launch the “VOCALOID Authorizer” software and Activate the Voice Libraries
    After the installation of “VOCALOID Authorizer” is completed, start the software and activate the voice libraries with reference to the “Authorization” chapter of the User's Guide downloaded in the above procedure.

Support Information
About Product Serial Codes
Please keep the serial code in a safe place, as it will be required when reinstalling the software. Serial codes cannot be reissued under any circumstances.
If Activation Fails
If activation fails, check your Internet connection, LAN card installation status, and serial code. Enter the serial code in upper case one-byte alphanumeric characters. Also, make sure you have not entered the serial code of another VOCALOID product. If a network error occurs even though you are connected to the Internet, it may be due to resident software. In addition to Internet security and anti-virus software, utility software for the mouse and trackball may also prevent proper activation. Please temporarily stop/disable all resident software before activation.
How to Uninstall
If you wish to reinstall "Piapro Studio" or voice libraries, you can do so in advance by going to the Windows Settings application -> "Applications" -> "Apps and Features", or on macOS, go to the Finder -> "Applications" -> " VOCALOID" -> "Uninstaller" -> "VOCALOID4" and uninstall all installed voice libraries from the files in "VOCALOID".
How to Deactivate
If you uninstall the voice library, install a new OS, replace the internal hard disk or LAN card, or buy a new computer, deactivate all installed voice libraries beforehand using the "VOCALOID Authorizer". For more information, please see the following page.
