We are very proud to present the second instalment of Anatolian Kopuz - a collection of traditional kopuz melodies that have been professionally played, recorded, and packed to ensure you never miss any detail in your project.

The kopuz is a Turkish instrument originating in central Asia. Many instruments in Anatolian Turkish music culture, especially the baglama, are derived from the kopuz, so it is considered the oldest national instrument. According to sources, the oldest known text to mention the word kopuz, as an instrument name, dates back to the Uighur period. Turkish kopuz instruments consist of 6 parts - the bowl, handle, cover, augers, curtains, and wires. Although it is regarded as a short-stringed lute-type instrument, the handle of the kopuz is much longer than that of the oud.

In detail, expect to find 510 MB of raw content featuring 95 beautifully performed kopuz audio loops set at 100/120/140 BPM. Both dry versions (without additional effects) and wet versions (with effects) are included, totalling 190 files. All samples are key and tempo-labelled for ease of use - ready to fit straight into your tracks.

This instrument can be used accompanying other instruments or is perfectly usable on its own as a leading element. Ideal for a variety of genres including organic folk, experimental, cinematic, ambient, electronica, and more. The only limit is your imagination!
