Citing influences from Celtic, Iberian and Eastern European music traditions, producer Gregor Theelen has further defied genre boundaries by crossing over slightly into Classical Indian and Jazz territories, making this innovative collection the epitome of World music.

Combining smooth & subdued jazzy leads with traditional European folk instrumentation, 'New Age World & Folk Vol 1' creates an entirely unique and spellbinding vibe across all five Construction Kits.

Traditional plucked instruments such as dulcimers are fused with warm upright basses, soft mellow pianos, smokey sultry vocals, expressive soprano sax leads and delicate strings.

About The Producer:

Gregor Theelen is a classically-trained composer with decades of experience in working with large orchestras in recording studios. When it comes to styles, Gregor is a Jack of all trades. He loves working in the classical field, Jazz is his passion and he will never have doubts about working on a House, Lounge, Rock, Funk or any other project, as long as there is room for sincerity, authenticity and experimentation. The past decade, Gregor Theelen's Chillout/Downtempo/Lounge music has been used in numerous famous compilations and best selling mix-CDs, such as Buddha Bar. 'New Age World & Folk Vol 1' includes MIDI files for the majority of the musical phrases heard in each Kit, allowing you to seamlessly mix your favourite sample libraries and synths with the pre-rendered sounds contained in the pack.

Advantages of MIDI:

While the supplied ACID/Apple Loops content is extremely flexible and powerful, MIDI has the added benefit of allowing you to go to extremes of pitch and tempo beyond which the loops were originally recorded, with no time stretching or pitch shifting artifacts. Furthermore, you can make tweaks to the riffs so they fit perfectly into your existing mixes.

Dry/Wet Files:

Most of the loops in this product are provided in both dry and wet variations, meaning you can either drag and drop them straight into your DAW complete with FX or apply your own FX mix using plugins or hardware of your choice.

OMF Files:

With the included OMF files you can import each audio clip into your sequencer at precisely the right location, allowing you to re-structure the original song, or add your own complimentary instrumentation.
