Hugh Hardie first joined the party at the start of 2014, when his track 'Tearing Me Apart' was used to celebrate Hospital Records' landmark birthday on their 'We Are 18' compilation. The Cambridge-born virtuoso was exclusively signed to the roster a year later with the release of his EP 'City Soul', which set the precedent for his bright and uplifting liquid productions.

While Hospital veterans High Contrast, Nu:Tone and Logistics have all had an enduring impact on Hugh's musical style, his influences stretch far and wide beyond drum & bass into the realms of jazz and neo-soul to include artists like Robert Glasper and Erykah Badu. The year 2017 saw Hugh Hardie truly put his stamp across the drum & bass world with his highly regarded debut album 'Colourspace' which received DJ and radio support across the scene. 2019 saw the release of a second studio album 'Shadows & Silhouettes' was received with further critical acclaim from fans and peers alike, offering a refined follow up to the musical themes of his earlier releases.

Hugh's latest musical endeavours have included a series of EPs, the 'Learning to Fly EP', the 'Dream in Green EP' and his '7 Tunes in 7 Days' project, a 7-tracker written entirely in the space of seven days during a lockdown of 2020. Over the years Hugh has built a loyal following and earned himself top DJ spots across Europe's biggest events including Glastonbury, Sun & Bass and Liquicity Festival as well as Hospitality events Hospitality in the Park and Hospitality on the Beach.

Liquid Gold is Hugh's first ever sample pack, and as such is an encapsulation of years of efforts at the front line of modern liquid drum & bass. Containing over 750 MB of content, you'll hear smoothly rolling drums, gorgeous and expansive piano samples, jazzy vibraphones, clinically precise percussion, huge atmospheres and deep basslines. You'll hear all of the usual Hugh Hardie excellence in the production of this sample pack.

Loops within play at 174bpm, making this collection perfect for any offshoots of drum & bass music, including jungle, rollers, liquid and dancefloor.
